Since 1905, Hachi has been a pioneer in Japanese curries and spices. This classic curry powder is crafted from turmeric root and a balanced blend of over 18 herbs and vegetables, slowly roasted to bring out a deep and complex aroma.
Add it to curry rice, udon, or stews to capture authentic Japanese flavor at home. It also works wonderfully as a seasoning for meat or fish to remove odor, or to add depth to stir-fried and street-style dishes like tteokbokki. Keep a tin in your pantry for everyday creative cooking.

Ingredients
Turmeric, coriander, fenugreek, black pepper, cumin, cardamom, chili powder, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger, garlic, celery seed, parsley, fennel, paprika, salt

Recommendation
Use 1–2 teaspoons for curries or stews. Can be mixed with flour and oil to create roux, or sprinkled on meats before grilling for a spiced finish.

Cooking Method

  1. To make curry roux: Melt butter or oil in a pan, add flour and Hachi curry powder and stir until fragrant.

  2. Add water, stock, and desired ingredients to adjust thickness and taste.

  3. For extra depth, add soy sauce or grated apple before serving.
